MUMBAI: Desitara.com is coming up with an online contest called Sing with Shaan, where budding singers across India can upload their videos on the website. The top 10 popular videos (by votes) will undergo screening and the winner of the contest will share the stage Live with Shaan at the prestigious Bidar Utsav 2011. The winner will be chosen by Shaan himself. Videos can be uploaded on desitara.com till 12 February. Voting for the videos begins from 13 February, and will close on the 16th of February. The winner will be announced on the 20th of February.

Bidar Utsav is an annual cultural program of Bidar. It has been celebrated for the past three years with great fanfare, with several programs portraying the cultural heritage of the various states of India. Well known artists from across India will be performing during the three-day Bidar Utsav.

Shaan is one of the few Indian singers who has gained recognition through his work in international music too. His famous band Blue for the song (One Love), theme song (Shuruat) for the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe are incredible. Shaan has also collaborated with Michael Learns to Rock for his album Tishnagi. Apart from this his melodious Hindi songs have always amplified his fan following.
