Red FM partners 'Thespo 13' for the 3rd year; RJ Rohini to host ÔÇ?Creating Characters on-air' workshop

MUMBAI: Red FM has partnered Thespo - youth theatre festival for the third consecutive year and Red FM's RJ Rohini will host one of the music workshop �Creating Characters on-air' at the fest.

Commenting on the association, Red FM senior VP projects and programming Nisha Narayanan said, We are delighted to partner with an esteemed festival such as the Thespo that truly celebrates and encourages creativity. This is the third consecutive year that Red FM has partnered with the festival with full gusto! With RJ Rohini, a Thespo alumnus herself, hosting a workshop at the festival this year, we look forward to great show!...

In its 13th edition, the highlight of the festival will be a series of workshops conducted by some of the renowned professional theatre artists from Australia, UK, US and Israel. Apart from the events like live bands, platform performances and the full length plays, the festival will provide young theatre enthusiasts with a professional stage.

Quasar Thakore Padamsee said, "The relation between radio & theatre has been very strong. The greatest radio voices have had a theatre background, such as Ameen Sayani, Zul Vellani & Partap Sharma and therefore the tie up between Thespo, India's premier youth theatre festival and Red FM. It has been wonderful to enter our 3rd year of partnership where we are able to reach out to youngsters interested in theatre. The Red FM workshops are an organized platform for young people who are then able to make a transition from stage to radio."

�Thespo 13' will be held from 13-18 December 2011 at Prithvi and NCPA Experimental theatre.
