Mob attacks Zee Marathi's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' set

MUMBAI: Around 25 men in Mumbai attacked the set of Zee Marathi's flagship reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on 26 February, reports Zee Marathi. The shooting for the episodes was going on at the time of the mishap.

The show has started airing from 25 February.

The reason, as reported by the channel, was that few audiences who were thrown out of the set for creating nuisance during the shoot, got their violent supporters to attack the set.

"Some people were continuously chatting and disturbing the shooting. After repeated requests, we asked them to leave; they got angry and came back to ruin the sets," said Zee Marathi business head Ajay Bhalwankar. "Thankfully, no one suffered any injury.

Inside the studio, anchor Pallavi Joshi, judges Dr Saleel Kulkarni, classical singer Asha Khadilkar and celebrity judge and violinist Prabhakar Jog were present along with contestants (all 40 years plus season) and audience.

The mob attacked the studio, smashed many cars in the campus, assaulted the studio and unit staff. Reportedly, the accused also broke the furniture in the studio's reception area.

Police have registered a case of rioting and arrested three men.
