Mirchi launches music of Kannada film 'Suryakaanthi'

BANGALORE: The music of one of the most awaited Kannada films of the year – 'Suryakaanthi' (Sunflower) was launched on Radio Mirchi Bangalore on the breakfast show hosted by RJ Rachna.

Mirchi Bangalore will be handing the music CDs' autographed by the film's male lead Chetan who along with the film's director interacted with Mirchi listeners and shared  details of some interesting incidents that occurred during the making of the movie.

Said the film's director Chaitanya, This is the first time ever that the music of a movie has been launched on-air, and it's amazing to receive encouraging words from the audience instantaneously....

The audio rights for the movie have been purchased by Bangalore based Aananda Audio Video. The music album will be commercially available from 28 November 2009 in Bangalore, while the film will be released by mid December this year, informed Chaitanya. The music for the film has been composed by Ilayaraja and has a number sung by Shreya Ghosal and Kunal Ganjawala, picturised on Goa beaches  The films writer is Agni Sridhar, its presenter is M Vasu and the producer is B N Sujata.

The movie has been extensively shot in Uzbekistan in the cities of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkhand and in the snowcapped mountains of Chemgan. This is the second film that Chaitanya, Sridhar and Chetan are doing together – the first one being Aa Dingalu (Those were the days).
