Michael Jackson's doc convicted for 4 years

MUMBAI: After a six-week trial, Michael Jackson's Doctor Conrad Hunt has been sentenced a maximum of four years in prison.

Hunt was convicted under involuntary manslaughter charges and will lose his medical license Hunt will also pay restitution to the singer's three children Prince, Paris and Blanket However, it's unlikely that Hunt would be able to pay any sizable sum including the $1.8 million cost of Jackson's funeral.

The trial presented the most detailed account of Jackson's final hours which left many questions about the doctor's treatment of the superstar, including operating-room anesthetic.

Murray had admitted of giving a small amount of propofol to the King of Pop who was struggling with insomnia, but denied the claim of giving the massive amount of the drug -- which is normally used in a hospital setting -- and was found as the reason for Jackson's death on 25 June 2009.
