MUMBAI: All the Monday haters now have a track titled ‘Khoon Choos Le’ that will help them curse the gloomy day of the week. The song from the upcoming zombie comedy film ‘Go Goa Gone’ connects with the true sorrow of youth specially officer-goers and students.

Sachin-Jigar have composed the hilarious track which has mix of drums and strings and it is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The video is partially based on animation which gets the track moving. It has made its position on YouTube as the most watched song.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Suraj Jagan says," It was funny rendering the track and when I sung the line 'Khoon Choos Le' people in the studio started laughing on the way I sang it. The tracks I have rendered under Sachin-Jigar have always got a lot of attention." The track features Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwari and it is rendered by Arjun Kanungo, Suraj Jagan and Priya Panchal. The music album of the film will be available from April onwards on Eros/Sony Music.

Music directors Sachin-Jigar, say, “We are so happy that the song has become such a viral hit as it relates to everybody. We wanted to keep the music simple yet quirky so it would match with the mood of the film.” The song has received overwhelming response from the audience and is currently one of the most popular videos on YouTube.

The catchy lyrics portray the bitterness that people feel on a Monday and its actually connecting with the youth. Sony Music India marketing director Sanujeet Bhujabal says, “We released Khooni Monday on Sunday evening as the Monday blues set it. We did this with an online campaign stating, ‘if you hate Mondays then you will love this song’ while on twitter the hashtag #KhooniMonday became extremely popular. We are happy the way this song has connected with the youth and are extremely confident of the other songs from the album.”

The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Puja Gupta in lead roles. Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK ‘Go Goa Gone’ is scheduled to release on 10 May.
