Delirious? to release wrap-up album in March

MUMBAI: The UK-based, Grammy-nominated and Dove Award winning band Delirious? is set to release its live CD and DVD titled My Soul Sings on 16 March 2009 on Sparrow Records.

What makes this album special is that Delirious? had recorded their brand new live album in front of 12,000 fans in Bogot??, Columbia, South America.

After winning several awards like the Dove Award (highest award in gospel music) RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) award and a Grammy nomination, the band announced that they would be taking a break from recording and touring after 2009. As promised, Delirious? will keep its commitments through 2009, continuing to inspire music lovers worldwide while carrying on its tradition of spiritually challenging lyrics and pointing people to see the wonders God.

Their new album showcases 14 songs and 16 newly filmed fan favorites spanning the band's innovative 15-year history  It includes music from the early days of the band, like "History Maker" and the worldwide debut radio hit "Deeper" (King of Fools, 1997), and "Bliss" (Mezzamorphis, 1999), as well as songs from its "middle phase," such as the radio hit "Rain Down" and the church service favorite "Majesty" from World Service (2004), and "God's Romance" (Glo, 2001).

The music of its later years on the CD/DVD focuses on Delirious?'s most critically acclaimed album to date, Kingdom of Comfort (2008), and includes "Kingdom of Comfort," "Break The Silence" and the title track, "My Soul Sings."  These songs were written following the band's newfound commitment to social justice, sacrifice and compassionate ministry, and formed by recent tours that have taken Delirious? to some of the poorest countries on earth where the band members faced encounters with life that made poverty personal.

Delirious? in the past had also come to India on two occasions and played for their fans in Banglore, Pune and Mumbai. In addition to their concerts in India, the band spent time visiting the slums of Mumbai and serving meals to children's.
