CII postpones conference on proposed copyright amendment

MUMBAI: The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) has announced that its roundtable conference on the proposed copyright amendment bill 2009 to be held on 24 December, has been postponed. The conference has been postponed indefinitely due to unavoidable circumstances and CII would be intimating the revised dates soon.

The aim of the CII roundtable was to generate a debate and bring forth the implications of the recently proposed copyright amendment bill 2009 to various stakeholders- from broadcasting industry to films and music companies. The CII media and entertainment division has over the years been driving several initiatives to promote the Indian Entertainment Industry and brainstorm the issues, trends and developments for shaping an industry- friendly government policy.

As part of its ongoing initiatives, CII had organized the Roundtable on Proposed Copyright Amendment Bill 2009: Implications to Media and Entertainment Industry... in New Delhi. CII is rescheduling the dates and would announce it shortly.
