Choklate treats street children on Children's day

MUMBAI: Bhubaneshwar based Radio Choklate 104 FM plans to tap the twinkling stars of Orissa on Children's Day with on air contests and on ground activities.

With an idea to bring a smile on the face of street children, the station began a 15 day campaign, â€?Dhum Mitha Muskan' on 1 November. As a part of the campaign, Choklate jockeys have been visiting children in various slum areas, addressing their basic needs, making them aware of social behaviour, hazards of drugs, Aids awareness, values of education and hygiene. Also, balloons, chocolates, hygiene kits comprising comb, soap, anti lice lotion, shampoo, hair oil, were distributed along with vitamin capsules to these kids

The campaign has also enlisted the help of a few NGOs for this campaign.
On 14 November, a special on ground programme has been designed, christened Bachchon Ki Toli' where all the seven Chota RJS of Chota Choklate' will visit S.O.S Village Bhubaneswar, Sneha Ashram, KhandagiriI, Sewa Ghar, Khurda and Daya Ashram Cuttack, for a live on air interaction with the children present there, giving them a sense of belonging, enacting a small skit and holding a magic show, all anchored by RJ Pappupompom.

Radio Choklate's on air programme â€?Rapchik Bumchik Bachon' has been colourfully designed for children as well, with celebrity kids co-hosting and conducting contests for children. The winners will be treated with a grand gift hamper and an evening of fun at the Bhubaneswar Nicco Park.
