Channel [V] sets Rs 10 mn as prize money for new reality show

MUMBAI: Channel [V] is set to launch its new reality show, Idea [V] The Player, from 12 December.

To be aired every Saturday at 7 pm, the show will have 10 dangerously motivated players hoarded up in a house. The task is to convince each other of why each one of them should get the prize money as against the other and arrive at a unanimous winner.

Created by Rajiv Laxman, who is playing as host, the show will carry a cash prize of Rs 10 million.

Avers Lakshman, The Player is a giant human experiment; 10 people in a house, 10 million rupees at stake and only one person can win it through a unanimous vote.

"It is but natural, that a few of the inmates will be greedy and not give up their chances of taking away the money. With its share of coaxing, manipulation and scheming, The Player promises to be a potboiler of emotions in a bid to take home the cash!...

The channel has also announced a SMS contest for the launch episode, wherein viewers can answer to the questions and win up to Rs 50,000 cash.
