Chak De singer laps an international venture

MUMBAI: Krishna Beura who sung the track Maula Mere' in Shimit Amin's Chak De India' (2007) has bagged an international project with Girish Malik's Guns and Heroes'.

Krishna is rendering vocals to two tracks of the movie out of which one is the theme song of the movie, incidentally again called Maula Mere'. The song has been composed by Meet Bros- Harmeet and Manmeet Singh and Taata Tannu and lyrics are penned by Juneja.

The song given to me was in my own style and demanded a very high pitch. I was shortlisted as they thought not many singers in Bollywood could render it as they wanted it to be,... says Beura. The movie Guns and Heroes' portrays the scarified life of Indian soldiers and terrorism in India and so is the track Maula Mere' based on angst of Indian soldiers. The movie has an international collaboration and was also showcased at Cannes.

Talking about his experience of working with Meet Bros, Krishna says, They have got real good talent and will surely have rocking careers ahead. They are good and promising people to work with and this is the reason I am also now clubbed for six to seven films with them....

There are many Bollywood projects lined up Krishna's way but none of non-film music. Ishq Gali Naa Jaiyo' with music label Tips was his debut album which was merely satisfying for him. The totally view changed artist now says I no more believe in albums now. Labels do not promote artists, infact they expect us to do free shows for them. All they want is just money and nothing is for the welfare of the artist....

Sanjay Dutt patronized Krishna's ingress into Bollywood which also gave him his first break in the film industry. Ishq khudai' from Sanjay Dutt starring movie Rudraksh' (2004) was his debut track in Bollywood. Some of his famous tracks include: Soniyo From The Heart'(Raaz - The Mystery Continues - 2008), Insha Allaah'( Welcome - 2007), Aap ki kashish' (Aashiq Banaya Aapne - 2005) and Main Jahan Rahoon'(Namaste London - 2007).
