Big CBS Spark pays musical tribute to Whitney Houston; to air two-hour special

MUMBAI: Big CBS Spark will pay tribute to the multi-million singer ‘Whitney Houston’, bringing together every single event that built Houston’s life. Taking Houston fans in flashback, the two-hour special will be aired on  Sunday, 19 February at 7pm.

The golden girl of the music industry bid good-bye to the world on 11 February and her funeral took place today at New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey.

From 1980s to late 1990s, she wowed the audience with every single of her performances. She started her career in mid 1980s and since then, there was no stopping for her. With two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 career awards as of 2010, Houston was the most awarded female artiste of all time, according to Guinness World Records.

Citing the success of her singing career, Whitney signed her first film The Bodyguard, which was released in 1992. Thereafter, Whitney’s acting career too began to takeoff. Waiting to Exhale, The Preacher’s Wife, Cinderella and now in its post production – Sparkle.
