Bhatts introduce young singer Aaryan

MUMBAI: Constantly giving opportunities to new talent in their films, the father-daughter duo of Mahesh and Pooja Bhatt have yet again introduced a young singer Aaryan who will render a track in Pooja Bhatt’s forthcoming venture.

He is trained under composer duo Saijd-Wajid’s father Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan and one of his tracks will also be used by Bhatt in her next film. The singer boasts of excellent piano, harmonium and guitar playing skills.

The singer’s first music video ‘Ranjhann’ was recently uploaded online and attracted around five million views. His melodious voice caught the attention of Dubai-based businessman Shiraz Gidwani, who decided to launch the fresh talent with a grand celebration at the Burj Khalifa, Dubai.

Bhatt told an agency, “I like his innocence. The YouTube video of Aaryan’s song was uploaded the same day when Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 song, ‘Dagabaaz Re’ was released. And Aaryan’s song managed to get around 5.3 million hits, which is commendable. I have already requested Aaryan to give me one of his songs for my next film. It’s such a beautiful song.”

Aaryan said, “Honestly, I was very nervous on stage. This was such a huge launch for me; it’s like a dream come true. For me music is my passion, which has got me here. I have kept myself open for everything. I have not restricted myself to anything.”

The Bhatts have a known history of introducing new talent in their movies in the past. While they have mostly introduced actors, directors and writers in the Indian film industry, Pooja Bhatt also has a uncanny ear for good music and upcoming talent there. Her recent film ‘Jism 2’ featured compositions by debutant composer Arko Mukherjee and also comprised of tracks rendered by Pakistani band Rushk amongst others, introducing them to the Indian music scene.
