Amazon launches music player app for Apple devices

MUMBAI: In a bid to expand its reach for Apple users, Tech giant Amazon has launched a music player app for iPhone and iPod Touch.

The app enables users to stream or download music from Amazon’s Cloud Player as well as play music already saved in the device. The application allows users to create playlists and sort songs according to album, artist, song and genre. The app can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store.

Amazon vice-president of digital music Steve Boom said, "Customers tell us that they want access to all of their music, wherever they are and on all of the devices they use. By bringing cloud player to iPhone and iPod touch, we now have the most widely compatible cloud playback solution available, giving our customers the ability to buy once and enjoy their music everywhere.”
