Adele to sing for Bond film 'Skyfall'

MUMBAI: British pop sensation Adele has joined a line of illustrious pop singers who have sung the theme song for James Bond movies.

The 24-year old singer will sing the theme for the latest 007 film- ‘Skyfall’- which she has written herself with a collaborator, reports said.

According to reports, the ‘ominous and dramatic’ ballad titled ‘Let the Sky Fall’ features lyrics like ‘Let the sky fall/Let it crumble/We will stand tall/And face it all/together’.

The introductory lines, which follow a piano solo, are, "This is the end/Hold your breath and count to ten/Feel the Earth move and then/Hear my heart burst again."

The theme is Adele’s first new material post her mega hit album ‘21’. The singer joins the league of iconic singers like Shirley Bassey, Carly Simon, and Duran Duran who have sung the themes for the British spy. Adele's track is expected to be unveiled next week.
