92.7 Big FM Bangalore celebrates Raksha Bandhan with khaki-ge-rakhi

BANGALORE: 92.7 BIG FM’s Bangalore station celebrated Raksha Bandhan with ‘Khaki ge Rakhi’ - a specially thought initiative to strengthen the bond with the Bangalore City Police. The event was held at Police Head Quarters, in the presence of Commissioner of Police Mr. Raghavendra Auradkar. The radio station known for its socially responsible initiatives undertook this campaign to thank the police force on behalf of all the women of Bangalore.

 

The campaign started off with RJs Rashmi, Shruti and Hamsa tying Rakhi to the Commissioner of Police and spreading the message to strengthen the bond between the men in khaki and women of Bangalore. On- air ‘Khakhi ge Rakhi’ recognized and appreciated the efforts of the city police over the years towards making Bangalore a safer city for women.

Commenting on the campaign, Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head, 92.7 BIG FM said, “Through the ‘Khaki ge Rakhi’ campaign, we at 92.7 BIG FM have tried to encourage the citizens, specially the women of this city to come forward and strengthen the bond between them and the police force to make Bangalore a safer city. Raksha Bandhan holds an immense significance for all of us in the country; this initiative is our tribute to the brother-sister relationship and to the Bangalore City Police who have done well to give us the sense of safety and well-being.”
