HTC Desire unveiled in Indian market

MUMBAI: Fast-growing mobile company HTC has finally launched the handset HTC Desire in India in association with Tata DoCoMo.

The phone features a 3.7 inch AMOLED display along with a 1-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It also boasts of a 576MB of RAM and comes with an Android 2.1 loaded in the phone, which is yet to be upgraded to Froyo.

The phone is a similar take of Google's Nexus with some minor changes.

The stark differences of the phone as compared to Nexus is its video recording at WVGA resolution (800*480) at 15 fps. Along with this the phone also consists of an optical track-pad and physical buttons. Considering that India is a land of music passionate the phone has also been embedded with the feature of FM radio which was missing in the Nexus One 

The phone was first showcased in Mobile World Congress 2010 

The HTC Desire will be available at all retailers across the country and priced at Rs 28,900.
