TV Noise to headline the K!NK launch tour

MUMBAI: sLick, an Indian brand for underground house and techno, is launching a 'naughty' property under its banner, aptly titled 'K!NK'. The launch tour for the property will be headlined by Netherlands based duo, TV Noise.

The launch gigs will take place on 11 April in Mumbai at Club Royalty, on 12 April in New Delhi at Pangaea and on 13 April in Indore at O2. "We will have two local DJs from each city along with the headlining act for the launch tour but we have not really zeroed in on any of the local acts yet," confirmed Prateek Pandey, Head of sLick and Head of Programming at Enchanted Valley Carnival.

'TV Noise', is a young duo from The Netherlands who started out in 2010 with no knowledge about producing or DJ-ing. They started connecting with several DJs and then quickly got a real good feeling for the world of music.

Speaking about the brand new property, Pandey said, "Our brand sLick focuses on underground music. With K!NK, we are getting into a new direction where we will be doing more mainstream acts as well and a lot of futuristic acts that we do not want to do under the sLick banner, since it is musically completely different."

Taking influences from the architecture in Amsterdam, the head of K!NK plans on using certain elements in his production's line to transform the appearance of clubs. "We will not be using the usual lasers or LED screens or CO2 guns. The idea is to come up with spontaneous pop-up gigs where our production makes the club look, well, not like a club," said Pandey. His main brand sLick focuses mostly on deep house, techno and tech-house genres.
