Yesterdrive's Mumbai Drive

MUMBAI: Delhi based Indie-alternative rock band Yesterdrive is excited about the fact that on 11 January the band will perform in front of a new set of crowd at Mehboob Studio, Mumbai. In the past, the band has performed at the Ziro festival and Hornbill festival.

Formed in the summer of 2012 by members Molee Lollen (Lead Vocals/Guitars) and Liem Ngadong (Bass/ Backing Vocals), the band today has total of five members. The other three are Haggai Rongmei (Lead Guitars/ Backing Vocals), Sachin Shahi (Drums) and Kabir Jamatia (Keyboardist).

Jamatia is the recent addition to band and Radioandmusic.com caught hold of him to speak about Yesterdrive. Jamatia says, "We are known to play original tracks and we wish to continue doing that. We will play our originals tracks at 'Live From The Console' (LFTC). We will play nine to ten tracks in 45 minutes." LFTC will take place on 11 January. Along with Yesterdrive, Aayushi Karnik (Blues & Rock n Roll) and Red Seems Right (five-piece alt rock band) will play at LFTC.

The band started off their journey from Arunachal Pradesh and has acquired a fan following in North India. Currently, Jamatia is hoping that with the LFTC his band will have a new fan base in Mumbai. "After this we hope that we will perform across different parts of India," says Jamatia.

Yesterdrive are currently working on an 'untitled' Rock Indie album comprising eight to ten tracks. The lyrics of the album have been penned by Lollen. The album is expected to be out on CoreConxept Music.
