MUMBAI: Grammy award winning singer Bruno Mars released a video for his track ‘Gorilla’- which is from his latest album- Unorthodox Jukebox. The song was first released in September as a single after the ‘Grenade’ singer performed it at the VMAs. The track has been turned into a rather steamy video and features Slumdog Millionaire beauty- Freida Pinto as a racy pole dancer.

The video sees Mars as a strip club singer and also features popular Puerto Rican American actor Luis Guzmán in a cameo where he introduces Isabella (Pinto) to the crowd. As Isabella takes to the pole, twisting and twirling, Mars kicks the song into gear. Unlike most of his peppy-pop tunes, Gorilla has more of a soft rock edge with piano stabs and pounding drum beats.

From sizzling scenes where Pinto strips down to a bare minimum in the club, the video shifts to scenes where the singer/ stripper duo heat things up in the back seat of a car. The video closes with Pinto setting Mars’ guitar on fire (with the help of a bottle of tequila), after which Mars is seen chasing through a long dimly lit corridor.

Gorilla is the fourth track to be released from Mars’ latest studio album- Unorthodox Jukebox which is the musician’s first No. 1 album. The song peaked at No. 26 on Billboard Hot 100 after its release and has made its way back to Billboard 200’s top 20.
