Chirantan Bhatt expert in thriller films creates back to back melodies

MUMBAI: Music composer Chirantan Bhatt is a proud man. Not because he has composed music for film Boss but because he has learnt music composing on his job. He is happy with the fact that he has composed some real good music over years. His latest flick Boss seems to make him glad and the same time worried about the response about a cult song ‘Har kisi ko’ that he is redoing with different lyrics and new music.

Speaking to Radioandmusic.com, Bhatt said, “When I was offered the song, I was a little apprehensive about the fact that I cannot mess with this song as it a cult song. Cause if the song fails, I would be criticised severely for the same. It will be surely be compared. However, my production team liked the song, which was a relief and the appreciation from the audiences was an icing on the cake.” The lyrics for the track are penned by Manoj Yadav. The main male version was sung by Nikhil D'souza and the vocal for the duet version was rendered by Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan version.

He has directed music for Zanjeer, 1920 Evil Returns, Haunted, EMI and many more in the past. The music director creates music for suspense thriller films more smoothly than his melodies songs. He believes that creating music for suspense thriller is more fun as it requires mix of many sounds. “It is fun to do song for a haunted film. When I was offered ‘Shaapit’, I was told to compose melodies song but for ‘Haunted’ the brief was to give music that gave a haunted feel. Then I got 1920 Evil Returns by then I became an expert in haunted films,” laughs Bhatt.

He also enjoys doing adverts so he hopes to continue doing films alongside creating music for a product which according to him is exciting.
