Sunidhi Chauhan rocks Leicester; Royal Albert Hall next

LEICESTER: It was a night to remember for the people of Leichester as the modern day Asha Bhosle took center stage with one purpose: that of setting it on fire. Well we do not want to leave you guessing. Yes! No sooner did Bollywood diva and rock star Sunidhi Chauhan take the stage on 20 September, the crowds at the De Montfort and Hall went berserk.

Chauhan who is currently touring the UK for three concerts, treated the swooning fans with her ‘latkaas’ and ‘jhatkaas’ and undoubtedly her singing skills. Dressed in sexy black the beautiful singer opened her gig with, ‘Aisa Jaadoo Dala Re’ from the song Khakhee. She performed on various others tracks like, ‘Aaja Nachle’, ‘Halkat Jawani’, and ‘Sajna Ve Sajna’.

The UK Tour 2013 coincides with 100 Years of Bollywood and celebrated this landmark with a special tribute to the legends of Bollywood.

She showcased her musical variations by making the audience fall in love with the romantically intense ‘Te amo’ and ‘BeIntehaan’. A live performer par excellence, she's often touted as the 'Queen of Item Numbers'. And she showed that she deserves that sobriquet by belting out mass favorites like ‘Beedi’ and Sheila Ki Jawani, driving audiences into frenzy.

“Sunidhi's melodious power packed voice still loud and clear in my head 4rm last nite..#highly talented,” tweeted a fan.

“@SunidhiChauhan5 you are rocking leicester with your amazing performance on stage live. Fantastic Mind Blowing energy u have. Mind blowing,” tweeted another fan.

Raj Radia, Director, TLC, the event management company said, "Sunidhi's energy on stage was infectious and the crowd just loved her. She's a true rockstar."

Sunidhi is next expected to perform at the much acclaimed Royal Albert Hall in London, a place where the original Asha Bhosle performed a few decades back. For Sunidhi, there could be no better tribute than the fact that she will be crooning on a stage where India's most versatile first singing lady has in the past. For her the circle is complete.
