Singer Kalpana inspired by Bhikhari Thakur literature

MUMBAI: Singer Kalpana's new album which is released by Times Music is based on Bihar's renowned poet Bhikhari Thakur... who is also popularly known as Shakespeare of Bhojpuri. He is one poet in Bhojpuri whose writing touches the heart of the people. When asked Kalpana why you made an album on Bhikhari thakur...? She said, The foremost reason is that the literature of Bhikhari Thakur is of superior level. People like him are born once in a decade, I personally like his writing. Besides this I am making Bhojpuri album because I have gained popularity by singing in this language, so I wanted to revert back something to Bhojpuri language....

Acknowledged as Bhojpuri singer, Assam's Kalpana first album was Gawanwa Leja Rajaji... in 2000, the album created a great panic in Bhojpuri music world. And then after a while Kalpana became a known name in Bhojpuri music, people became fan of her voice and after that kalpana has have looked back. With more than 150 Bhojpuri songs, 100 Hindi songs and other different language songs singer Kalpana has lent the magic of her voice in everyone's mind. She was also been judge for two times on Mahuaa channels show Sur Sangram....

Now Kalpana will also be seen as judge in show Nehle pe Dehla.... Recently her song Aila Re Aila Haat Tichya Maila... was nominated for Best item song in Mirchi awards. Movie Khatta Meetha's this song, kalpana has sung with popular Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi.
