DJ Sava releases album with old and new music in India through Worldwide Records

MUMBAI: Romanian Music Award nominated DJ, Constantin Sava, popularly known as DJ Sava, recently announced the release of his latest album, ‘Cocktail’ via Worldwide Records. At the launch, attendees included Sava’s regular collaborator, dance music singer Raluka, along with upcoming musicians Shaleen Bhanot and Mudasir Ali and actor Rahul Bhat.

The album, which was released in Sava’s home country of Romania back in 2013 through Cat Music, is now being released in India through Worldwide Records. In addition to collaborating with Raluka, Sava also collaborated with Romanian hip hop musician ?tefan Relu Mihalache, better known as Connect-R, on the album. Sava told Radioandmusic.com that since the album consists of some of the major genres of electronic dance music such as house, deep house, progressive house, techno and dub-step, the album is called ‘Cocktail’.

He also said that while he does not listen to any of the recent EDM musicians, he cites John Creamer, Mark Knight and Tiësto as some of his earlier influences. He also said that he started collaborating with Raluka and Connect-R since 2008, and produced a few tracks. However, because Sava had his own project and Raluka had her own project, their project together took a back seat for a couple of years.

When asked whether she prefers singing club music, Raluka said, "I like singing acoustic, but since I always perform in clubs, acoustic music there is not a catch. I like acoustic, but I do not do it so often." She also said that her major influences include Grammy Award Winners Beyoncé, Chris Brown and Usher, along with World Music Awards winner Lara Fabian, who Raluka says, "is from another world".

Sava was last seen collaborating with Connect-R and Misha for the song, ‘Te strig’ which was released recently. Before that he was seen collaborating with Hevito for the single, ‘Bailando’ which was released last month. Both singles have been released via Cat Music.

It was also revealed at the launch that Cat Music will continue to license its original music to Worldwide Records to distribute it in India.
