NEW DELHI: Zohra Chatterji, an Indian Administrative Service Officer of 1979 batch from Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been been promoted as additional secretary to the government of India. She has subsequently moved to the Ministry Women and Child Development  She will hold the post of Member Secretary of National Commission for Women Hitherto, she was Joint Secretary (Broadcasting).She had held the post of Joint Secretary in the information and broadcasting ministry since 15 May 2007.

D P Reddy who is an IAS officer of Punjab cadre and had been appointed Joint Secretary (Films) in February this year, will hold charge of Broadcastng till a new appointment is made.

Chatterjee has been finally appointed Member Secretary in the rank of Additional Secretary to the National Commission for Women.

She had held the post of Joint Secretary since 15 May 2007.
