Listen: Lifestyle brand Parx's new anthem

MUMBAI: On a night when Parvaaz and popular musician-turned-actor Luke Kenny performed at Mumbai's Hard Rock CafÚ, it was a musician from Bengaluru who grabbed all the deserved attention and spotlight. The occasion was the launch of fashion lifestyle brand Parx's anthem and Abhilash LakraÆs forty-two-second-long tune won the maiden edition of the digital music initiative.

At least 100 tracks were submitted, and the jury comprising of Rolling Stone India's Deputy Editor Nirmika Singh, songwriter/producer Randolph Correia and Luke Kenny chose Lakra's entry over fellow finalists as the winner.

Abhilash Lakra, the winner of the first Parx Anthem Hunt was awarded a bumper cash prize of Rs. 75,000 from parx; Sennheiser hd7 head phone worth Rs. 25000; Rolling Stone magazine subscription for one year; a gift hamper from Parx and the brand would also be re-engineering and using his tune as the brand anthem for the upcoming season of the Parx.

Gigs were organised in Pune and Gurgaon as part of the build-up to the event, and the winner was officially announced on October 6 at HRC Mumbai.

Speaking on the finale Pragati Srivastav û Brand Head, Parx said, "The first ever Parx Anthem Hunt has taken off to a stupendous start. We have received an overwhelming response with some of the most enchanting entries from music enthusiasts across the country. Parx loyalists have shown immense support on the digital medium and fans have flocked in huge numbers to attend the on-ground Gigs in Pune and Gurgaon. I would like to congratulate Abhilash Lakra who has composed one of the most enriching music tunes for the brand. We look forward to taking PARX Anthem Hunt to the next level in the coming years."
