XM & Concord Music Group launches `Watercolors: Red`

Washington, D.C. and Beverly Hills, Calif. - The satellite radio service XM and independent record label Concord Music Group has announced the release of "Watercolors: Red." The 12-track compilation disc, the third in a series of jazz CD collections co-produced by XM and Concord, is available now exclusively at Circuit City stores nationwide.

Created from Concord`s rich catalog (which includes the Concord Picante, Heads Up and Peak Records labels) and designed to reflect the sounds heard on XM`s contemporary jazz channel Watercolors (XM 71), this latest release "Watercolors: Red" is pure musical sophistication. The CD features performances from the best artists in contemporary jazz, including 12 steamy tracks from David Benoit, Lee Ritenour, Sergio Mendes, Poncho Sanchez and more. Each song paints a spectrum of tropical jazz hues.

"Watercolors: Red" was produced by Nick Phillips, Concord vice president of jazz and catalog A&R, and Shirlitta "Trinity" Col?n, XM`s senior director of Jazz and Blues programming. This new compilation follows two previous releases from XM and Concord: "Watercolors: Blue," the first jazz collection inspired by XM`s Watercolors channel, and the critically-acclaimed "Blistering Licks - Red Hot Riffs from the Giants of Jazz."
