MTV ties up with `Om Shanti Om` for Lycra MTV Style awards

MUMBAI: MTV has announced a special tie up with the Farah Khan directed film Om Shanti Om for its forthcoming event Lycra MTV Style awards.

As part of the promotional campaign for the movie, actors Deepika Padukone, Shreyas Talpade and Arjun Rampal will showcase their style statements designed by Manish Malhotra at the Lycra MTV Style Awards.

 

Lycra MTV Awards which will be held on 25 October in Mumbai, will also see Malhotra showcasing the retro theme inspired by Om Shanti Om.

MTV India GM and VP creative and content Ashish Patil said, "Style is something integral with Hindi cinema and Lycra MTV is delighted to be associated with this stylish film. The retro showcase will see all the stars of the film including Shah Rukh Khan as never before."

The awards function will be hosted by the famous Cyrus duo of MTV, along with Sagarika Ghothge (also known as Preeti Sabharwal of Chak De).

This year`s theme for the Lycra MTV STyle awards is `Its My Style` where 13 college kids across India will also get a chance to display their designs along with Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis and Nandita.

MTV Lycra Awards will also see performances by Shafaqat Amanat Ali, Atif Aslam, Raghu Dixit and Rouge.

Over the last few years, Lycra MTV Style Awards has showcased films like Musafir, Kya Kool Hain Hum and Jaaneman.
