104.8 Ishq Mumbai announces the city winner of 'Ishq in England powered by Go Daddy'

MUMBAI: After a successful run with their previously-held contests, 104.8 Ishq strikes a hat-trick with ‘Ishq in England powered by Go Daddy’, promising a mix of romance and cricket this World Cup season. With every passing year, the radio station has brought intriguing competitions for its loyal urban audience levelling up its entertainment quotient. The coveted competition, that received enormous participation from the young, sought after individuals from across the country recently announced the lucky winners from Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. Getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an all-expense paid a trip to England, Amit Jagdhari, a chartered accountant was selected as the city winner from Mumbai.

Conducted over the course of two weeks, the contest required listeners to simply answer travel-related questions asked by the RJs on-air and through a bunch of engaging questions on Instagram. Such was the frenzy surrounding the competition that the channel witnessed a remarkable number of recurring contestants. With the network known for its loyalty, the contest witnessed one of the finalists of Ishq in England, also being the winner of last year’s contest. A travel enthusiast and an ardent reader, Amit along with his partner Richa Jagdhari were one lucky couple from Mumbai that was announced recently. With the duo being high on wanderlust, them scooping the grand prize was a no-brainer for 104.8 Ishq.

Extending the wins onto its digital wing, 104.8 Ishq also announced Dr Shradha Gada as a lucky winner, who booked herself a ticket to England, along with the other contestants. Playing the contest from Ishq’s social media handles saw Shradha and her partner Nihar Dharod bag this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Summing up on the end of the contest, 104.8 Ishq National Head - Operations Shivangini Jajoria, said, “Every year we receive an overwhelming response from our listeners for the contests and this year it has surpassed our expectations even further, taking it a notch higher.
