Javed Ali commences 2013 with music concerts

MUMBAI: After earning rave reviews with his debut act as an anchor for singing reality show SaReGaMaPa 2012, singer Javed Ali is now all set to enthrall music aficionados with several concerts in the month of January in India.

His musical sojourn will commence from 5 January with the ‘Aman ki Asha’ concert in Mumbai. Aiming to strengthen the bonds across the border, Ali will be seen performing with Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar.

His two-hour performance will comprise of an array of his popular Sufi and romantic tracks. The singer will also perform a special unplugged session for his fans at the venue.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com Ali said, “This is the second time I am performing at the concert and I am very excited to be a part of it. I hope people enjoy my act and it strengthens the bond between the two countries (India and Pakistan). Our country has a big heart and recognizes the artiste and their talent. India promotes all forms of music and gives exposure to musicians unlike in Pakistan.”

Apart from that, the singer will also perform several concerts during the month across the country including Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhubaneshwar amongst others. In Chennai, the singer will perform a special concert with maestro AR Rahman on 15-16 January.

He will also be seen rendering tracks in several bollywood projects in the coming year featuring compositions from renowned composers like Amit Trivedi, Pritam Chakraborty, AR Rahman and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy amongst others.
