Anurag Kashyap releases music of Gangs of Wasseypur

MUMBAI: After its premiere at the 65th Cannes International Festival, Anurag Kashyap recently released the much anticipated audio of his film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ at Bandstand, Mumbai.

Barring the traditional format of music releases,  the star cast of the film including Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Richa Chadda and Piyush Mishra unveiled the album while taking a jeep ride at the location.

The album comprising of 25 tracks is composed by Sneha Khanwalkar and penned by Varun Grover and Piyush Mishra. Artistes like Amit Trivedi, Manoj Tiwari and Khusboo Raaj have rendered for the film.

Kashyap said, “The music is rustic. There are around 25 songs in the music album which I’m sure people will love.”

Prior to its physical release, the music was premiered on Airtel and Hungama for mobile and internet users.

Gangs of Wasseypur, based on the badlands and crime in North India is in two parts with the first slated to release on 22 June.
