Sony Corporation names Keki B. Dadiseth chairman of the board, Sony India

MUMBAI: Sony Corporation today announced the appointment of Keki B. Dadiseth, former Director on the Board of Unilever plc in London and Chairman of Hindustan Lever Limited in India, to the position of Chairman of the Board of Sony India Pvt Ltd., and Senior Advisor to Sony Group in India, effective immediately  In this role, Mr. Dadiseth will provide leadership to further enhance Sony's presence in the country and give strategic advice and support to the Sony Group in India as Senior Advisor. In particular, Mr. Dadiseth will work with Sony's broad range of businesses in India, from electronics to entertainment, to further enhance cross-company initiatives, new business development, external relations and the strength of the Sony brand

Prior to his association with Sony, Mr. Dadiseth spent more than 30 years at Unilever and its group companies where he held senior executive positions in finance and general management until he retired from Unilever's corporate Board in 2005  He is now closely associated with various industry, educational, management and medical entities in India and is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of several companies in India, the UK and the USA 

Mr. Dadiseth will report to Sir Howard, and be based in Mumbai.
