Red FM observes a minute of silence to pay respect to the victims of Pune Blast

MUMBAI: Red FM Pune will go silent for few minutes on Saturday, the 20th of Feb exactly a week after the blast. Starting at 6.52 pm, the time when a blast occurred at the German Bakery in Pune's Koregaon Park, Red FM will observe silence.

Supporting Red FM in this initiative is the Mayor of Pune, Mohan Singh Rajpal, Ma Sadhna from the Osho Commune and Dr. Anand Balerao, Principal of the Bharati Vidyapeeth, which lost a student in the blast, along with lakhs of Punekars who are in some way or the other effected by the blast and want to show their solidarity towards their fellow citizens who were killed or injured by the blast.

The Mayor of Pune, Mohan Singh Rajpal, comments at the Red FM station, "It was quite unfortunate what happened in Koregaon Park last Saturday and I would urge Punekar's to observe silnece for sometime with Red FM at 6:52 pm on Saturday....

Dr. Anand Balerao, Principal, Bharti Vidyapeeth, comments at the Red FM station, We lost our student Aditya Mehta in this blast. Lots of innocent people were affected in it, in memory of all these people I am with Red FM and I request you all to join me. Let's be together in this, me, my colleagues and my students are with Red FM....

Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP of Programming and Projects, Red FM, commented at the Red FM station, The blast that took place last Saturday shook the city of Pune and shocked the entire nation. We believe that silence is louder than words and with this initiative we wanted to create a platform to Punekars to help them express themselves even if it's through silence....

Red FM's initiative to observe a few minutes of silence is an endeavour to unite Pune in the spirit of solidarity and peace in the wake of the terror attack in the city.
