MUMBAI: NINE FM, the YOUNG and CONTEMPORARY... FM station of North Bengal is all set to cover the 5th Sukuna Gold Cup Football at Sukuna organized by Sukuna Games & Sports Association.

This football tournament has been organized uninterruptedly for the last five years. The opening ceremony is slated for 27th December 2009 where the former International Footballer Shri Jerry Basi will grace the occasion with his presence as the Chief Guest while Shri B.L.Meena I.A.S (Retd.) Administrator DGHC will preside over the function.

The association will also felicitate former football players of International repute namely Mr. Jerry Basi, Mr.K.B.Gurung and Mr. Dilip Lama.

Press Conference was held on 25th December 2009 where the association officially announced the opening of the tournament.

Players from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Siliguri, Raiganj, Sikkim, Shillong Tezpur, Dhanbad, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Nepal Bhutan and Bangladesh are all set for a war of skills & stamina.

NINE on 91.9FM has an active participation in the tournament as the official radio partner. NINE FM is instrumental in promoting the entire tournament on-air and on-ground. NINE FM will air live updates of the match. Live interviews of the football players will also be broadcast on-air on NINE FM.

NINE on 91.9FM will also organize on-air �PREDICT THE WINNER' contest during the tournament where the listeners have to predict the winner of the match for the day. Listeners will win VIP passes to the football matches. Apart from airing live updates and live interviews on-air, NINE activation will also be present to interact with the spectators and to entertain them in between the matches.
