Wadali Brothers

Puranchand and Pyarelal Wadali, the well - known singers from Punjab popularly known as the Wadali Brothers, are today one of the finest and most popular exponents of Sufi music in India. In this unique presentation, they treat us to some of their most popular repertoire.

They believe in the Sufi tradition deeply. They consider themselves as a medium through which the preaching of great saints is passed on to others. They have never indulged commercially, and they have only a handful of recordings to their name (mostly from live concerts). They believe in singing freely as homage to the divine one.

Barkat Sidhu

Barkat's repertoire is amazingly diverse. His rendition of compositions of Sufi poets is soul stirring. His Haunting voice moves the inner being to the core with the poetry of timesless poets like Bulleh Shah, Shah Hussain, Farid and others.

Saleem

Master Saleem, sometimes referred to as Saleem Shahzada (Salim Shahzada), is an Indian singer from Punjab, known for his work as a playback singer in Bollywood films, like Heyy Baby (2007), Dostana (2008) and Love Aaj Kal (2009). He has also released private albums, of Punjabi Music, Religious and Sufi music.

He is the son of the famous Sufi singer Ustad Pooran Shah Koti, who was also the guru of folk singers, Hans Raj Hans and Jasbir Jassi.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, undoubtedly the greatest Qawwal legend of his time, is not only the Qawwal icon of the 20th century, but also one of the few who have brought the world together through his music. He has the unusual ability to present this genre of music in its truest form.

Warsi Brothers

Warsi Brothers is an Indian Qawwali musical comprising of brothers Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi and Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi. They kept the qawwali tradition alive by accommodating multiple genres, especially those composed by Hyderabadi poets.

Warsi Brothers hail from the family of Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi, Hyderabad's noted qawwal, who lived the legacy of the Nizami Chishti tariqa – an order that is tied to the shrines of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and Amir Khusro in Delhi.

Sabri Brothers

The finest exponents of qawwali ever known, Haji Ghulam Farid Sabri and Haji Maqbool Ahmed Sabri are the undisputed doyens of qawwali. The celebrated duo is the torchbearer of the traditional style of sufiana qawwali  They have popularized the poetry of â€?Khwajagan' (saints), such as Hazrat Amir Khusrau, Maulana Rumi and Baba Bulleh Shah. Their style of singing and position as the greatest qawwals of the world remains unmatched even today.

Jafar Husain Khan Badauni & Party

Jafar is another huge legend who has gained acclaim worldwide through his unparalleled style of singing. His rendition of Chhap Tilak Sab Chhini Re is very popular among the masses and has inspired other artistes like Kailash Kher to adapt this composition in his own style.

Bhai Harbans Singh Ji

Bhai Harbans Singh Ji started singing kirtans at the age of 7 and has been performing kirtan & katha for decades. He has been honoured twice by ETC Punjabi Music Awards in the �Best Religious Album' category. Bhai Ji's style is slow & mellow and he performs to audiences all over the world, especially in U.K., Canada & U.S.A.
