MUMBAI: For the first time ever, music composer Pritam has collaborated with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions for their forthcoming movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, directed by Ayan Mukherjee.

Karan Johar said, This will be the first time Pritam will compose music for a Dharma film. We are very excited to have him on board. It will be interesting to see Ayaan and Pritam connect musically....

Although Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed a good album for Ayan's debut film �Wake Up Sid', the young filmmaker was keen to work with Pritam this time around. He apparently wanted fresh tunes. Ayan spoke to Karan about his intention of roping in Pritam as the music director for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Karan understood Ayan's point of view and agreed immediately. Karan made this exception for Ayan since he loves the script and is very confident about the film," sources said.
