Technology plays a huge role in the lives of our target audience and what better way to engage them than connect them to their favourite celebrities!”
Adds Meenal Balar, International Marketing Manager for Facebook, “We are excited to see MTV’s ‘Celebrity Connect’ powered by Facebook. Using Facebook Connect, users can now register to connect with their top celebrities in 2-clicks, and easily share and discover celebrity choices with their Facebook friends. This is a great way for MTV India to create deeper social engagement on their site through Facebook technology.”
In the past, MTV’s digital initiatives include Roadies Battleground 1 and the recently launched Roadies Battleground 2 - the online battle for fame, glory and cold hard cash! ‘The Slap Raghu game’ was also immensely popular, where one got a chance to virtually slap the most hated man on television – Raghu Ram. MTV’s digital initiatives focus on creating opportunities that connect to real people & situations, giving the ordinary man a chance to do something he wouldn’t dare do in real life!
