MUMBAI: NetApp India has announced the winners of the first India Innovation Awards 2013, to recognize and honour organizations that are innovative in leveraging technology to improve their business efficiency levels, thereby enhancing business value and transforming businesses.

A total of 12 winners were chosen across seven categories with top corporations such as HDFC, HSBC, Genpact and Aditya Birla Financial Group bagging the highest recognition - the NetApp Trendsetter Awards.

The awards presentation concluded the highly successful inaugural edition of India Innovation Day, which witnessed a gathering of industry thought leaders, including Shri Milind Deora, the Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications, IT, Shipping – Govt. of India and renowned academicians such as Dr. Deepak Pathak, Chair Professor, School of Engineering, IIT Bombay, and CIOs from across Corporate India.

Awards were chosen by a four member jury  comprising of Mr. T.G. Dhandapani, CIO, TVS Motor and Sundaram Clayton group; Mr. Burgess Cooper, Vice President, Information Security at Vodafone Essar; Mr. Devendra Parulekar, Partner, Advisory Services at Ernst & Young Pvt. Ltd and Ramanujam Komanduri, Director Enterprise Business- India & SAARC, NetApp India Marketing & Services Pvt Ltd.

Ernest & Young was the process advisor and official tabulator for the selection process.

The India Innovation Day and India Innovation Awards ceremony were held on March 14th, 2013 in Mumbai.
