MUMBAI: Hamfest India 2009 is being conducted in Bangalore, South India, the Ham Capital of India on 7 - 8 November 2009.

This annual event took place, in Gandhinagar, Gujurat during October 2008. The launching function of this year-long activity through 2009 started off on 14th December 2008, in Bangalore

Bangalore Amateur Radio Club - VU2ARC, the oldest ham radio club in India, founded in year 1959, is celebrating the Golden Jubilee Year 2009.

The final event marking the 50th Anniversary of BARC will be conciding with Hamfest India 2009 on 7 - 8 November 2009 in Bangalore city, India.
