Devi Prakash wins BIG 92.7 FM's Comedy Ganesh Contest

MUMBAI: With Ganesh Chathurthi festival coming to an end, BIG 92.7 FM, Bangalore's No.1 FM station announced the winner of its innovative contest called �Comedy Ganesha'. After a tough fight Devi Prakash was declared as the winner of contest and was felicitated by the popular comedian Sihi Kahi Chandru at the BIG FM office.

BIG FM RJ's Harsha, Shruthi and Rohith supported each of the top 3 shortlisted finalists Raghu, Devi Prakash and Bharath who performed on-air between the 4th & 9th of September while requesting listeners to vote for them. Based on the number of votes received, Devi Prakash a soft spoken tourist cab driver was picked as the winner. He will now get a chance to play a role in a Kannada comedy TV serial called Point Parimala.

In tune with the vibe of the city, this contest was conceptualized and aimed towards identifying the best comedian in Bangalore since Ganesha is known for his talent, wit & wisdom. Registration for this contest was through the IVR number 39890927 from which the contestants were screened and shortlisted.

BIG FM has also installed a massive eco-friendly Ganesha at Total Mall on Sarjapur Rd where the RJ's did live links of the festivities & gave pointers on celebrating the occasion in an eco-friendly manner. This idol will be taken from Total Mall at 4pm to the famous Ulsoor lake for visarjan on 13th Sept between at around 7pm with Dhol players and listeners accompanying the convoy all thru the way.
