'Alvida' Shibani's tribute to the victims of 26/11

MUMBAI: Alvida' is a new song from Shibani Kashyap's latest album Free Spirit... produced by ASA Productions and Enterprises Pvt Ltd (Vikram Bhatt) & directed by Pradipto Nandi.

Alvida is composed and sung by Shibani Kashyap.

Alvida is a tribute for the victims and martyrs of the 26/11 massacre that took place in Mumbai. It is also a reminder for the people that though the spirit of the city is undaunted, we have to stand united and fight this battle.

Shibani Kashyap has managed to rope in well known names in the television and media fraternity, who have taken part in this venture to speak to people and tell them that all hope is not lost and we have to stand united to fight this evil. Arya Babbar, Swetta Keswani, Alex O' Neil, Bhagyashree, Sandhya Mridul, Karan Grover, Mona Singh, Mini Mathur, Iqbal Khan, Hiten Paintal, Rahul Roy, Siddharth Kanan, Sharad Kelkar, Kirti Kelkar, Mazhar, Akshay Anand, Ashish Kapoor, Ashlesha Sawant and a few more names have participated in this video voicing the cause and also paying their respects to the people who sacrificed their lives in this traumatic incident that shook Mumbai but could not break it.

The song has three connotations; the first Alvida is of course a tribute to the victims and the loved ones who were lost in this mindless massacre which took place. The second Alvida is for the policemen and the commandos who helped the people out. The third Alvida is for no more farewells..., and no more terrorism and corruption and communalism. It's time we stood up and made everyone realise that we are peaceful but not weak. And that NO BODY can take us for granted. The video also talks about how a little bit of faith and time can help resolve this menace and WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN.
