MUMBAI: Samsung announced on Thursday, 10th March,  the extension of the Galaxy family with the launch of Samsung Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Pop Smartphones. The new Samsung Galaxy models offer a premium design, enhanced multimedia features and the superior Android experience with Android 2.2.

With over 100,000 applications from the Androidâ„? market and Samsung Apps, the new Galaxy series are designed for optimum performance, with the new handsets offering characteristic features of the Galaxy series including Quick type by SWYPE, Social Hub, Touch Wiz 3.0 and Active Sync.

Samsung Galaxy Ace

Samsung Galaxy Ace (S5830) with its elegant and sophisticated design, based on the Android 2.2 platform, provides users with a premium experience with its 3.5...HVGA TFT display and its optimum 800 Mhz processor that enables consumers to experience smooth web browsing, hi-quality 3D graphic performance and faster data processing.

Even as consumers can access and download over 100,000 applications available on the Android market, the Social Hub feature in the Galaxy series serves as a one stop point for consumers' social life, while the Think Free office allows users to create, view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents. The handset has a 5MP camera with flash, upto seven multiple homescreens and provides easy connectivity with HSDPA 7.2 and WI-fi. Equipped with a 600 Mhz processor with 3D accelerator, the phone delivers high performance, a 1350 mAh battery and an expandable memory upto 32GB. Users can access a range of Android and Samsung apps, enjoy uninterrupted connectivity with HSDPA 7.2, Wi-fi and also enjoy features such as the Social Hub, Think Free Office, SWYPE text input.
