MUMBAI: Samsung has extended its popular Galaxy series with two dual-sim smartphones Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos.

The handsets run on android 2.3 gingerbread operating system with 832 MHz mobile processor and TouchWiz custom user interface. The smartphones are equipped with 2GB memory card expandable upto 32GB, and bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.

Galaxy Y Duos is embedded with 3.1inch QVGA TFT LCD touchscreen, 3MP camera and also features several apps including ChatON chat and Social Hub Premium. While Galaxy Y Pro Duos is enhanced with 2.6 inch LQVGA TFT LCD display and QWERTY keypad with 3MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera. The device also supports pre-loaded apps such as Polaris and Find My Mobile.

Samsung is yet to announce the price of its smartphones, which will be available in Europe, CIS, Russia, India, Middle East, Africa, China and South East-West Asia by January 2012.
