Symphony orchestra of India to perform in Mumbai

MUMBAI: After the successful completion of 10th season of western classical music, NCPA is back with its �Symphony Orchestra of India's (SOI) Eleventh Celebrity Concert' featuring two world class virtuoso pianists Tamas Vasary and Stephen Kovacevich.

The four day concert will commence on 9 september with a piano recital by Tamas Vasary based on Beethoven's classic and will be followed by the performance of Maestro Evgeny Bushkov who will conduct pieces of Bizet, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky. The season will conclude  on 24 september with Stephen Kovacevich, performing on his own interpretations of â€?Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4' and will be conducted by Evgeny Bushkov.

NCPA chairman and founder of SOI Khushroo N Suntook said, We are very proud to present the 11th season of SOI. It is our constant endeavour to popularise western music in India, just like the other performing arts genres. We look forward to an enthusiastic response from the audience to the same....

On 25 September, SOI will conduct one concert trip performing highlights from the eleventh Season with Zane Dalal in Chennai.
