Radio One Presents Bollywood Badshah

MUMBAI: 94.3 FM Radio One, for the Fataafat Generation has concluded the Bollywood Quiz Show called the Bollywood Badshah-Hindustan Ka Number One Bollywood Quiz Show which quizzes participants on questions related to Bollywood. This quiz meant for die hard followers of the industry, tests them not on commonly known trivia, but the real tough questions related to the industry, stars, music and movies in general. The contest ran across all cities where the station had a presence and winners from individual cities got to participate in the finals that was held on a Bollywood Film Set and of course, won lots of prizes.

In the first 3 weeks of promotions, listeners registered their names by answering a simple question on air after which they had 2 weeks in which the first elimination round begun. Here participants had to answer 9 questions in 60 seconds and each correct answer won them Rs 2000. The contest took place from Monday to Friday from 8.00 -11.00 am on the popular drive time show of the station, Jaggu and Tarana. 10 quarter finalists were selected at the end of the 5th week, who then played against each other. 5 semi finalists then won the opportunity to interact with the RJ's, and meet the look alikes of Bollywwod stars. They also won a makeover from a Bollywood Stylist. Contest finals took place in Film City or on a Bollywood Set and the worth of each question asked was higher. This 7 weeks campaign took place at all the major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai and Ahmedabad, with city finalists from outside of Mumbai being flown down and hosted at Mumbai by the station for the final contest. This quiz show was aggressively promoted using print ads in MiD DAY, online through Radio One's website and through e-mailers, as well as through on air spots.
