Fall Out Boy and Paramore announce joint summer tou

MUMBAI: Popular alternative rock bands Fall Out Boy and Paramore have announced that they will be kicking of a North American tour together from June this year. The joint tour will start in Hartford from 19 June and will end at Concord on 17 August. Called ‘Monumentour', it will travel to 30 plus cities in North America.

New Politics, the Danish punk rockers, have been signed up to open the tour and some dates will feature only Fall Out Boy. Presale tickets for the tour will be available from Monday, 13 January, while tickets for the general public will be on sale from Friday 17 January.

Fall Out Boy who were recently voted ‘Best Alternative Band' at the People's Choice Awards, reunited only last year after taking a break from the band in 2009. Their 2013 album ‘Save Rock and Roll' debuted at number one on Billboard's Top 200 chart and was also the band's second number one on the chart. The lead single from the album ‘My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)' gave the band its first Top 20 single, since their cover of Michael Jackson's ‘Beat It' in 2008.

Meanwhile, Paramore has moved forward after former members- Zac Farro and Josh Farro departed the band in 2010. The band, led by Haley Williams' released their self titled album in 2013, and recently also unveiled a video for their latest track 'Daydreaming'.
