Russian Mobile ringback tone deal for independent UK record label

MUMBAI: Independent record label Aardvark Records has signed a deal with Russian mobile content and service provider United Fun Traders (UFT) to supply music for the burgeoning Russian audio Ringback tone market. UFT, which supplies one of the biggest Russian mobile operators with music content, has licensed over 700 songs from the label's catalogue. CBC Radio Canada and Canadian Media Guild sign historic deal

MUMBAI: Members of the Canadian Media Guild (CMG) have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new five-year collective agreement with CBC/Radio-Canada. A full 93 per cent of members approved the historic deal reached four months ahead of the expiry of the existing agreement. "The new agreement is based on the principle that people are the foundation of everything that CBC/Radio-Canada does," said Hubert T. Lacroix, President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada. "We're working together to strengthen our ability to deliver as the national public broadcaster."
