Sky Rabbit: People will catch on the name through our music

MUMBAI: Being a part of Indian independent music for over six years, electro-alterno band �Medusa' is now back with a new identity called �Sky Rabbit'. The rechristenized band will officially launch their long due self-titled album �Sky Rabbit' on 10 January under EMI Virgin Records. The new album will be the first record material of the band, after featuring in 2009 British Soundpad Compilation produced by John Leckie. The quartet has launched multi-city album tour to promote their album across Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi.

NCPA to host Western Musical concert

MUMBAI: Renowned soprano singer Patricia Rozario with Joanne D'Mello and Susanna Hurrell will perform at a western musical concert to be held on 9 January at NCPA. 'Three Tenors—soprano style' will feature variety of solo arias, duets and trios, from the popular operatic repertory of Handel, Mozart, Gounod, Massenet, Puccini and Lehar, including the famous Queen of the Night arias from Mozart's Magic Flute. The sopranos will be accompanied by the reputed pianist, composer and broadcaster Mark Troop. The concert is hosted in association with Sargam.

Warner Music sees growth in digital music downloads

MUMBAI: According to Warner Music Group, the company has grown digital revenues and has established more comprehensive artist partnerships. The company's continued transition from physical to digital revenues streams continues to expand. The company experienced revenue growth in France, Spain and Latin America, although this offset weakness in the US, Japan and the rest of Europe. Digital revenue as a whole, accounted for nearly 30% of fourth quarter revenue, with growth in digital reflecting growth in global downloads and subscription services.
