Respect sanctity of the festival, says Akasa Singh on Ganesh Visarjan

MUMBAI: Singer Akasa Singh, who recently released her Sony Music single, Masseerati along side Tanishk Bagchi and Vayu, has a message for fans on the occasion of Ganesh Visarjan!

Akasa, who is a Ganesh bhakt said, “I just crossed the beach and saw a lot of ongoing cleanup. The only message, I would like to give is that try and stay at home and take Bappa’s blessings from your house itself today. But, if you are going out, then be safe and don’t litter because we tend to throw around  whatever we are eating. Similarly, a lot of littering is going to happen today and shouldn’t add to that, but respect the sanctity of the festival.”

The indie singer also shared that this year she couldn’t fully enjoy Ganeshotsav as worked kept her busy!

“Usually I participate a lot, but this time I could only celebrate for just one day because my work commitments,” she further told.

Akasa also shared her memories of the festival. She exclaimed, “It is one of my favourite festivals and there are a lot of fond childhood memories attached to it. I used to be the first one to receive Ganeshji in our society. Irrespective of any season, I used to dance till we reached the visarjan destination.”

Well, we all love Ganpati Bappa, who is bidding us goodbye today. While we wish every on on the occasion of Anant Chaturthi, we hope all bappa fans take note of Akasa Singh’s advice on safe Visarjan.
