OPPO to launch ôworldÆs thinnest smart-phoneö later this month

MUMBAI: OPPO India announced on 12 December that their latest smartphone, the OPPO R5, will hit Indian stores later this month. OPPO had unveiled the R5 on the 29th of October 2014 at an event in Singapore.
 
The OPPO R5 boasts a 5.2 inch AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and is powered by the octa core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. OPPO R5 is also claimed to be the world's first smartphone that uses phase-change material, keeping it at a constant cool temperature whilst maintaining superior functionality. The R5's patented heat dissipation technology "Cool Element" protects its octa-core CPU, in turn prolonging the life of the phone.
 
The device is also equipped with a 13 MP rear auto focus camera and a front facing 5 MP camera. It comes with the PI 2.0 Plus Flash Shot technology claiming to deliver 50MP high-definition picture clarity. The R5 is packed with 2000 mAh battery and also comes with the VOOC mini rapid charging system. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Oppo's Color OS 2.0 superimposed on it.
 
OPPO claims the R5 to be the world's thinnest smartphone with a width of just 4.85 mm. This smartphone is made of first-grade steel and designed with hand-polished micro-arc frame to make it smooth and strong.
 
This smartphone is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000.
